A sketch challenge...

I am obsessed with challenge sites. Love 'em! I have them all nice and neatly organized on my favorites list and am filled with happy happy joy joy when I get a chance to surf them and my eye lands on something pretty. :) One of my favs for layouts right now is http://52sketches52weeks.ning.com/ . Julie's sketches are really versatile and super easy to use! Seriously, I am making my own little book of them because I know I will be able to use them a bunch. Technically, the goal is to do one layout a week and you will end up with (ta-dah!) 52 by the end of the year. However, I have used some of the sketches more than once (told you they were versatile) and am not really going in order at this point. Oh, well. I'm a rebel with a scrappin' cause. LOL

Here is the sketch from week 13 that I lifted...

And here is how I interpreted it...

In retrospect, I wish I had matted EVERYTHING in black...I think it would have popped more, but I am happy with it. My son is sick and I can't go back to my "studio" except to grab a few things here and there, so I REALLY focused on those flowers and buttons. LOL It is amazing how much you can pay attention to the details when you don't have all of your stash in front of you. I am having a bit of cricut withdrawal because I intentionally did NOT use it for this at all...thought I would use my stamps for the title and some of my embellishments for the rest of it. I did sneak out my cuttlebug for the butterfly, but that is not the same thing, right? I'm off to play some more and might post a bit more later...what else am I gonna do on a sick day.

If you want to play along, please post to Mr. Linky, so I can check it out!

I love the cards. I too wanted to create a card that I only used cardstock and stamps. Yours is awesome!
